The Ouzoud waterfalls are the highest waterfalls in Morocco. They fall in several cascades a total of 110 m over red rocks and flow into a small lake. In good weather, the sun conjures up beautiful rainbow pictures from the dust-fine water in the air.

At the foot of the waterfall live Berber monkeys, who have lost their fear of people due to the numerous tourists and appear very cheeky. The banks of the waterfalls are covered with fig trees and jungle-like vines. Below you can cross the river for a small tip with a small ferry and climb the stairs in the normal way!

The small town of Ouzoud is located about 200 km north-east of Marrakech in the Middle Atlas and is a popular destination for Moroccans in particular.

The trip to Ouzoud usually ends in the large parking lot above the waterfalls. From here, a path leads down to the waterfall, lined with souvenir stalls and cafés. You will pass several small cafes with a lot of reggae charm where you can also take a break!
