We start in the early afternoon and we visit the legendary Djemaa el-Fna Square in the center of Marrakech and we walk to the busy souks of the medina! We stroll through the busy streets and visit some traditional artisan along the way. We browse the local jeweler for pearls and cutlery from all over Morocco. Visit a leather goods store, where handmade “babouche” slippers, bags and jackets are offered for sale, a shop with a large selection of beautiful carpets and then we enjoy the view on the terrace directly into the courtyard of a mosque. Admire caftans and silk scarves in women’s fashion outlets. A visit to Mustapha Blaoui’s famous shop should not be missed, of course. Other shops and stands to visit include an herbalist who sells traditional argan oils, herbs and spices! In between, we will also visit street workshops, in which talented artisan demonstrate their skills. We end our tour with an afternoon tea in a café in the Dar el-Bacha district.
